A pregnancy meditation app shouldn't be one more thing on your list. In Mamamoon, calm comes built into your weekly plan: mindfulness recordings, yoga nidra, guided breathing and calming audio, a few minutes at a time, from early pregnancy to the weeks after birth.

Katia Khomich, a certified mindfulness meditation and compassion teacher, recorded these for the moments that actually come up in pregnancy and after it.
Big emotions in week 13. The discomfort of labor in week 32, so you can practice noticing a sensation without fighting it. And after the birth, recordings for anxious moments and sticky thoughts.

No mat, no sitting up straight. Yoga nidra is a guided rest you do lying down with your eyes closed, just following a voice. You'll find two recordings, in weeks 4 and 10, and they stay in your library for every night after that.

Breathing is the meditation you can take into the birth room. The Breathing App lives inside Mamamoon: choose a rhythm like 4:6, set the timer and follow the ball as it grows and shrinks. Your plan starts you at two minutes and builds up to ten by week 38.

Sometimes you don't want a voice at all. Audicin's five calming tracks, from a relaxing ocean to a gentle flow, are one tap away on your home screen. Put one on to wind down, to focus, or when sleep takes its time.

Some things are easier to work through with a person. Book a 30-minute video call with Katia for your mental and emotional well-being, or with Laila Fanzi, a mindset coach. Private, and booked when it suits you.

How can I calm my emotions during pregnancy?
Small, regular practices are easier to keep up than a big effort once in a while: a few minutes of slow breathing, a guided recording, a walk or writing down what's on your mind. In Mamamoon, Katia's recording for big emotions comes in week 13, and the breathing tasks start at two minutes a day. If your feelings get heavy or don't lift, talk to your midwife or doctor.
What should I listen to during pregnancy?
Whatever helps you slow down: a guided meditation, yoga nidra in bed, calm music or nothing at all. The app has two yoga nidra recordings, Katia's mindfulness recordings and five Audicin soundscapes, one tap from your home screen.
What is the #1 pregnancy app?
There isn't one best app for everyone, because pregnancy apps do different jobs. Trackers show your baby's growth. Mamamoon is for preparing yourself: calm, breathing, yoga and HypnoBirthing in a weekly plan from week 3 to 16 weeks after birth.
Is Mamamoon a meditation app like Calm?
Not quite. Big meditation apps have huge libraries. Mamamoon has about a dozen guided recordings made for pregnancy and birth, plus breathing, self-hypnosis and calming audio, each placed in the week you need it. If you want a new meditation every day, a big meditation app will have more.
Can I use the breathing exercises in labor?
Yes, that's what they're for. The Breathing App lets you pick a rhythm and a sound, and the plan builds your practice from two minutes to ten by week 38, so the rhythm feels familiar on the day.
How much does Mamamoon cost?
You can try the program free for 14 days, and no credit card is required. After that, it's €7.99 a month and you can stop anytime. In the Netherlands you can also pay €45 once for the six-month course, which comes with an invoice for possible reimbursement from your health insurer. The Premium program is €149.99 once: 1-on-1 sessions with our experts, 100 unicorns to spend in Rewards and a call with a Mamamoon expert to personalize your plan.
