Feeding your baby is a skill you both learn, and a breastfeeding support app should put real help within reach. Mamamoon gives you classes from an IBCLC lactation consultant, 1-on-1 calls and feeding tips in the weeks they come up.

Latch not quite right? Wondering if your baby is getting enough? Book a 30-minute private video call with an IBCLC lactation consultant and go through it together, with your baby right there.
You pay with unicorns, the points you earn for finishing your weekly tasks. Not instant chat, but a proper conversation with a specialist.

Marieke van Luin has been an IBCLC since 2010 and a midwife for 20 years. In her 12-minute class she explains the latch with her "3 Bs", and in a 3-minute one she shows you how to feed without a pillow (handy at 3am, or anywhere that isn't your couch).

The best time to learn about feeding is before you're doing it. In week 31 you listen to a podcast with Marieke. In week 37 the app nudges you to find a lactation consultant near you, so you've got a name to call before the baby arrives.

A feeding station on every floor in week 1. Tips from Maria, a mom in Amsterdam, in week 2. How to store breastmilk in week 8, bottle feeding in week 9, and what to do when your baby refuses the breast in week 13. Each tip turns up when it's likely to be useful, whichever way you feed.

Going back to work doesn't have to mean guessing. In postpartum week 11 the plan covers breastfeeding as a working mom: pumping, storing and how to plan feeds around your days away. You work out a routine before your first morning back, not on it.

Is there a postpartum support app available?
Yes. Mamamoon gives you 16 weeks of support after birth: feeding tips in the weeks they come up, classes by an IBCLC lactation consultant, recovery and nutrition, and 1-on-1 calls with a postpartum doula or a maternity nurse.
What is the best shared app for baby feeding?
If you want to log feeds and share them with your partner, you'll want a tracker. Mamamoon isn't one: it's for learning to feed comfortably and getting help, with classes, weekly tips and experts to talk to. You can use both side by side.
Can I talk to a lactation consultant any time?
Calls are booked, not a 24/7 chat. You pick a time for a 30-minute private video call and pay with unicorns, the points you earn in the app. For urgent feeding problems, contact your midwife, maternity nurse or doctor.
When should I start learning about breastfeeding?
The third trimester is a good time, while you still have the headspace. In the app you listen to a podcast with Marieke in week 31, and in week 37 you find a lactation consultant near you, so you've got a name to call before the baby arrives.
Is it useful if I bottle feed or combine feeding?
Yes. The weekly tips cover bottles, pumping and storing milk as well as breastfeeding, so the plan works whichever way you feed.
How much does Mamamoon cost?
You can try the program free for 14 days, and no credit card is required. After that, it's €7.99 a month and you can stop anytime. In the Netherlands you can also pay €45 once for the six-month course, which comes with an invoice for possible reimbursement from your health insurer. The Premium program is €149.99 once: 1-on-1 sessions with our experts, 100 unicorns to spend in Rewards and a call with a Mamamoon expert to personalize your plan.
