Knowing what's happening makes the whole thing less of a mystery. Kasia's 18-minute class walks you through the pelvis, your baby's position, the uterus and oxytocin, and why relaxation matters once labor starts.
Then you move on to breathing, deep relaxation and active positions. Every class is recorded, so you can pause, rewatch and fit it around your day. You get them with unicorns, the points you earn for finishing your weekly tasks.

A birth course usually lands everything on you in one weekend. Here it's spread across your pregnancy, with 43 birth preparation tasks in the weeks they're useful.
Sitting on a ball in the second trimester. Perineal massage from week 30. Packing your bag in week 36 and the signs of labor in week 38. Open the app, see this week, done.

Reading about labor positions is one thing. Actually trying them is another.
From week 20 the app brings in rebozo videos (a woven scarf your partner uses to rock and support you), then a labor circuit of active positions and a printable sheet of yoga poses for labor in week 36. Short enough to practice tonight – and again next week.

Birth preferences are easier to write when you can talk them through first. Book a 30-minute video call with Kasia, go through yours line by line and walk into your midwife appointment knowing what you want to ask. Need a different kind of help? A doula and a maternity nurse take 1-on-1 calls, too.

Sometimes the most useful preparation is hearing how it went for someone else. Thirteen Mamamoon mothers share their births, some as articles and some as podcast episodes, including a HypnoBirthing birth with postpartum tips. Each one has the small details that matter when it's your turn.

Live in the Netherlands? Pick the six-month course at sign-up and pay €45 once. You get an invoice you can send to your health insurer for possible reimbursement, depending on your policy.

What is the best birthing app?
It depends on what you need. If you want to track your baby's size, a tracker will do that. Mamamoon is built to prepare you for labor and the weeks after it, with recorded classes, a week-by-week plan and experts you can book for a call.
When should I start birth classes?
Most people take birth classes in the second or early third trimester, so there's time to practice before the due date. In Mamamoon, birth preparation starts in week 3 and builds week by week, so you don't have to cram it into one weekend.
Are online birth classes worth it?
Online classes work well if you want to learn at your own pace, rewatch the parts that matter and fit preparation around work. Mamamoon adds the things a video course alone doesn't have: a weekly plan, daily practice and 1-on-1 calls with experts when you have a question.
Can I take birth classes online?
Yes. Every Mamamoon class is pre-recorded, so you can watch on your phone or in a browser whenever it suits you. Live 1-on-1 video calls with experts, such as a birth preferences review with Kasia, are available too, booked with unicorns.
Should I take an in-person course instead?
If you can get to one and the schedule works, do. Mamamoon is for the hours between sessions and for everything after birth, and for mothers for whom a fixed weekly course in one city isn't an option.
How much does Mamamoon cost?
You can try the program free for 14 days, and no credit card is required. After that, it's €7.99 a month and you can stop anytime. In the Netherlands you can also pay €45 once for the six-month course, which comes with an invoice for possible reimbursement from your health insurer. The Premium program is €149.99 once: 1-on-1 sessions with our experts, 100 unicorns to spend in Rewards and a call with a Mamamoon expert to personalize your plan.
